The terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan sent a message to the Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who is receiving treatment in the hospital following a heart condition he experienced through the İmralı delegation of the DEM Party. After the meeting, the delegation returned to Istanbul and made a statement at the hospital where Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the İmralı delegation, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), and Istanbul MP, is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit following a heart condition.
MESSAGE FROM ÖCALAN TO SIRRI SÜREYYA ÖNDER
Pervin Buldan, who appeared before the cameras, shared Öcalan's message to Sırrı Süreyya Önder.

"I wish a speedy recovery to Sırrı Süreyya Önder due to his health issues; I extend my best wishes to his family, friends, and loved ones. We have been working together for 12 years. His great significance is this: As an ideal person of Adıyaman and Turkmen origin, he represents the tradition of Baba İshak. He is someone who reflects the great peace effort to society and can break social prejudices in his person. He has done this. He broke prejudices in society, in the Parliament, and in the streets.

What is realized in his person is what we call Anatolian genes and culture. What we call peace is to make Anatolian genes and Turkmen tradition livable. Önder is such a person, and the essence of true Turkmen identity is this: The best peace identity, the best peace culture. It is the complete opposite of the understanding of "Let's insist on making enemies, let's do politics this way."
"THE REQUIREMENT OF LOYALTY IS TO PRACTICALLY SUPPORT HIS PEACE EFFORT"
Önder's culture of coping with and managing adversities is important; he can turn emerging adversities into positives before they deepen. I see that everyone has gone to the hospital where Önder is staying, expressing their loyalty to his memory. The requirement of loyalty is to practically support his peace effort. Once again, I extend my best wishes to him, his family, his loved ones, and the entire community; I hope he recovers as soon as possible and is with us in his most enthusiastic and strongest form."
