Mexico's Economic Growth Revised Up To 2.5% For 4Q23, From 2.4%

GDP increases 0.1% in 4th quarter on quarterly basis.

Mexico's annual economic growth was revised up to 2.5% for the fourth quarter of 2023, from the previously announced figure of 2.4%, the country's statistics agency INEGI said Thursday.

The country's economy grew 3.3% in the third quarter.

Secondary activities advanced 2.9% and the tertiary activities increased 2.5%, while primary ones did not show any variation, INEGI said in a statement.

The gross domestic product (GDP) rose 0.1% in the fourth quarter, compared to the previous quarter.

Mexico's economy expanded 1.1% in the third quarter, compared to the previous quarter.

In 2023, GDP grew 3.2% compared to 2022 with seasonally adjusted series, said INEGI. -
