Speaking after the match in which Fenerbahçe were defeated 6-0 away by Aston Villa, Milan Skriniar criticized the team's performance, saying, 'Today this score was embarrassing for us.'
Fenerbahçe lost 6-0 away to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League. Milan Skriniar made statements after the match and criticized his teammates.
''IT WAS SHAMEFUL''
Commenting on the team's performance on the pitch, Skriniar said, 'We must show our face, we must not hide. Today this score was shameful for us. We should not play like this, we should not give the ball away. We must raise our level. In the Champions League, you pay the price for every detail. We made huge mistakes today.'
''THINGS GOT DIFFICULT''
Continuing his words, Skriniar said, 'In the first half we got into 2-3 clear positions but could not convert them. In a match like this, going into the break 3-0 down is not easy. In the second half we tried to turn the match around. When the opponent scored again, things got difficult. We must raise the level. We, both the coaching staff and the players, must be united. There is a league match in 3 days. What we need to do is be united and continue working.' he assessed.
