Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi made a highly talked-about statement regarding former Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who was arrested in the fund investigation. Çiftçi said: "Our President has been closely following this issue since the beginning of the process. I also attended some meetings chaired by our President. His instructions on this matter are quite clear. He made a statement that whoever got involved in this, whoever obtained unjust gains, those people will not get away with it, and the amounts will be taken from those who obtained unjust gains and paid to the aggrieved persons.
A Fund Coordination Board has been established on the matter. The State Supervisory Board has also been tasked with the matter. Apart from these, our Ministry of Justice also has investigations into the matter. Let me also share the figures with you.
112 ARRESTS IN THE FUND INVESTIGATION
So far, 112 of 433 suspects have been arrested. 186 have been released under judicial control. Arrest warrants have been issued for 38 fugitives. The assets of 359 natural persons and 111 legal entities have also been blocked. Our President has already stated this. He has a clear instruction that the grievances be remedied without any spending from the budget whatsoever.
