The whole world is watching the new order that has changed in Syria with the fall of the Baath regime. Turkey, which has stood out with its support for the civilian population in Syria during the ongoing civil war, maintains its key position in the region. In this critical period where regional countries cannot take a step without Turkey, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made important statements regarding the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, which is cornered in the east of the Euphrates after Assad. Hinting at a new operation against the organization, Fidan stated, "The Kurds should not be harmed. All terrorist elements must leave Syria today." Key lines from Minister Fidan's statements were as follows:"THEY EITHER DISBAND THEMSELVES OR THEY WILL PERISH""The PKK has received tremendous support from the US and some European countries. Syrian opposition groups have been fighting for years, and we believe that as a result of the appointments made by the regime in Damascus, the YPG will not find much ground. The elimination of the YPG is our strategic goal. We will expect our brothers in Syria to eliminate the threat on their own land. The elements within the YPG that are not Syrian need to leave the country as soon as possible. The entire command structure of the YPG also needs to leave the country. Afterwards, those who remain need to lay down their arms and continue living. They either disband themselves or they will perish. The Kurds should not be harmed. All terrorist elements must leave Syria today. The Westerners are using another terrorist organization to avoid bringing their own ISIS members back to their homelands, disregarding the burden this creates for us. European states need to take their own ISIS elements away. It is a madness for Europe to be constantly blackmailed by the YPG. What they call fighting against ISIS is actually just guarding ISIS prisoners."
