Announcing the development on his social media account, Minister Gürlek emphasized that the Red Crescent is the strongest representative of the nation's spirit of charity. Gürlek said, "We will continue to stand by solidarity, compassion, and brotherhood."
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that he donated the 150 thousand lira he won from the moral compensation lawsuit he filed due to unfair accusations against him to the Turkish Red Crescent. Sharing the decision on his social media account, Minister Gürlek highlighted the importance of the Red Crescent in social solidarity.
"OUR CITIZENS CAN DONATE WITH CONFIDENCE"
Stating that the Turkish Red Crescent, with its deep-rooted history and dedicated staff, always stands by those in need during difficult times, Minister Gürlek emphasized that the institution best represents the nation's spirit of benevolence. Addressing the citizens, Gürlek said:
"Our citizens can donate to the Turkish Red Crescent with peace of mind and confidence; they can trust that every contribution will bring hope to someone in need and soothe a wound. On this occasion, I have donated the amount of 150 thousand lira collected as a result of a moral compensation lawsuit I filed due to unfair accusations against me to the Red Crescent."
