Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that they have prepared a new draft law as part of the fight against tobacco products. The new regulation aims to minimize the visibility of cigarettes in public spaces.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that their main objective is not just to restrict cigarette use but to reduce society's demand for and desire to use these products.

Memişoğlu, stating that inspections for those under 18 will be tightened and definitions of open/closed areas of venues will be clarified, said in a statement on Kanal 7 live broadcast: "It is currently being discussed; there may be some changes. We have a draft text. We are talking with our President, our deputies, and relevant organizations. Hopefully, it will be finalized within a few months. We do not want cigarettes and tobacco to be visible, especially for our children. We will ensure that cigarettes are as invisible as possible. In essence, we will reduce the demand, the society's desire to use it."
