Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek chatted in Kurdish with a woman who asked for jobs for her children after a park opening in his hometown of Batman. Şimşek said, 'There are many factories in the country. If our young people want to work, there are jobs here. Additionally, when new factories are opened here, young people will be able to find work.'
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, who arrived in Batman last night, first visited the Gercüş district. Şimşek then attended the opening of a park that is a continuation of İluh Park in the city center.
Minister Şimşek was accompanied in his program by Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Zekeriya Kaya, Batman Governor Ekrem Canalp, and the provincial protocol.
Speaking before the opening, Şimşek drew attention to the transformation carried out around İluh Creek and stated that new living spaces were created for citizens living in the region.
"THERE IS A MAGNIFICENT SERVICE STORM IN BATMAN"
Şimşek, noting that in addition to the rehabilitation of İluh Creek, areas that will increase the quality of life were created around it, thanked Batman Governor Ekrem Canalp and his team.
Şimşek said, "In recent years, there has been a magnificent service storm in Batman. New roads, main arteries, new parks, infrastructure, and superstructure are truly magnificent, continuously, and these are not a coincidence. Batman Municipality and Batman Governorship have turned into a service office."
Emphasizing that their aim is to serve the citizens, Şimşek said, "The purpose of all of us is to serve our nation and our people. Because serving you, our valuable fellow citizens, is also serving God. We have always acted with this motto."
CHATTED WITH A CITIZEN IN KURDISH
After the park's opening, a notable dialogue took place between Minister Şimşek, who greeted citizens, and a woman.
While the woman conveyed her request for a toilet to be built in the park to Şimşek, she also told him that her children could not find jobs. Listening to the woman's words, Şimşek responded to her in Kurdish.
"WHEN NEW FACTORIES OPEN, YOUNG PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO FIND JOBS"
Responding to the woman's job request for her children, Şimşek pointed to the factories in Batman and said, "There are many factories in the country. If our young people want to work, there are jobs here. Additionally, when new factories open here, young people will be able to find jobs."
The Kurdish conversation between Şimşek and the citizen was one of the notable moments of the program.
