Minister Şimşek made an assessment regarding the labor force statistics for September and the industrial production index announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute. In a statement on his social media account, Şimşek said, "Labor force indicators are performing more positively than our program targets, and the unemployment rate was realized at a low level of 8.6% in September. Although the contraction that began in the second quarter of industrial production has slowed down, it continued in the third quarter as well. The weak demand from Europe and the short-term temporary effects of our steps to strengthen macro-financial stability have been decisive in this development. In the upcoming period, more supportive global conditions, an increasing sense of security and predictability, improving expectations, and structural steps will support production, employment, and exports."
