Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made a statement regarding the armed attacks that occurred in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş.
"WE ARE DETERMINEDLY TAKING THE NECESSARY STEPS TO IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY APPROACH"
In his statement from his social media account, Minister Tekin said, "The heart-wrenching tragic incidents that occurred in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş have deeply shaken our entire country. It is with great sorrow that I must express that in these tragic events, we have lost our hopeful young people and an educator who was dedicated to their duty with all their sacred values."
In the continuation of his post, Minister Tekin included the following statements: "We are in indescribable sorrow as a nation. To prevent similar incidents from occurring in our educational institutions, which have been the finest examples of our societal peace climate throughout our ancient civilization, we are determinedly taking the necessary steps to update our existing security measures and implement a comprehensive security approach covering all digital and physical threats, together with our Ministries of Interior, Justice, and Family and Social Services. In such a period when we are united with the deepest feelings as a nation, this pain we shoulder has fallen upon all our hearts.

Indeed, this process will be followed in every minute detail, and every necessary step will be taken with care and diligence for the peace of our children, the well-being of our teachers, and the tranquility of our educational environments. I pray to God for mercy upon our teachers and students who lost their lives, patience for their grieving families and every member of our education family, and swift recovery for our wounded.
