Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 158 individuals, including 6 members of organized crime groups, were apprehended in operations centered in Adana, Antalya, Izmir, and Istanbul.

OPERATION AGAINST 6 ORGANIZED CRIME GROUPS
Minister Yerlikaya announced that in operations targeting 6 organized crime groups led by S.B. in Adana, H.Y. and B.B. (currently detained abroad) in Istanbul, A.B. in Antalya, S.A. (abroad) and U.G. (in prison) in Izmir, 158 suspects, including the leaders S.B., H.Y., and A.B., were captured.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
Additionally, during the operations, 32 unlicensed handguns, 8 unlicensed shotguns, 6 stolen motorcycles, various amounts of narcotic substances, and numerous checks and promissory notes were seized. An investigation has been initiated against the suspects for the crimes of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', 'qualified robbery', 'intentional injury', 'threat with a weapon', 'deliberately endangering public safety', 'damaging property', 'threat', 'depriving a person of their liberty', and 'arms and ammunition smuggling'.

Yerlikaya stated, "I congratulate our governors, the Chief Public Prosecutors coordinating the operations, and our heroic police officers carrying out the operations. With the prayers and support of our nation, we will catch the city bandits one by one and deliver them to justice."
