Following U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire with Iran, a new ballistic missile attack was launched from Iran against Israel. It is unknown whether there were any injuries or casualties following the attack targeting Jerusalem and central Israel.

While the echoes of U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement regarding a two-week ceasefire with Iran continue, a significant development has occurred in the region.

Israeli media reported that following Trump's announcement, a new ballistic missile attack was launched from Iran towards Israel, with sirens sounding in Jerusalem and central Israel. It is still unknown whether the attack resulted in any injuries or fatalities. Meanwhile, moments were captured on camera showing the Israeli air defense systems intervening in the Iranian missiles while they were in the air after the retaliatory attack.

TRUMP ANNOUNCED A TWO-WEEK CEASEFIRE

U.S. President Trump made an important announcement regarding the talks mediated by Pakistan just hours before the deadline he set for Iran on his Truth Social account. Trump stated that the negotiations between the two countries, led by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, had yielded positive results.

The U.S. President expressed that he accepted Pakistan's proposal to halt possible attacks tonight and to open the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "I agree to suspend bombings and attacks on Iran for a two-week period. This will be a bilateral ceasefire."

Trump, who claimed to have already achieved his military objectives in Iran and stated that they were close to an agreement on a "long-term" peace with Iran, made the assessment, "We received a ten-point proposal from Iran, and we believe it is a viable basis for negotiation."

Noting that almost all disputes between the U.S. and Iran in the past have ended in consensus, Trump said, "This two-week period will allow for the finalization and completion of the agreement." He also added that it would be an honor for him to represent the countries in the Middle East in "solving a long-term problem."

ISRAEL AND IRAN ALSO ACCEPTED

Following the U.S., it was reported that Israel and Iran also accepted the ceasefire. An unnamed White House official stated that Iran and Israel are also part of the two-week ceasefire with Iran announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, and that Israel agreed to suspend attacks while negotiations are ongoing. It was learned that China intervened at the last moment for Iran to accept the ceasefire, and Beijing requested Tehran to show flexibility.
