As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ahmet Mustafa Timo, the leader of the criminal organization known as the "Daltons," for whom a red notice was requested from Interpol, was captured through the overseas operations of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and brought to Turkey yesterday.
WANTED FOR 31 DIFFERENT CRIMES
It was determined that the suspect brought to the Istanbul Police was wanted for 31 different crimes, including 'being a member of and managing an armed criminal organization', 'intentional murder', 'attempted intentional murder', 'intentional injury', 'robbery', 'armed threat', 'damage to property', 'possession and use of an unlicensed firearm', 'automobile theft', and 'deliberately endangering public safety'. Additionally, it was learned that Timo was the main suspect in the murder of Eyüp Kara in Istanbul on May 27, 2024, and the murder of Yunus Erden in Kahramanmaraş on August 25, 2024.
MURDER OF EYÜP KARA
On May 27, 2024, in a game hall located on Nil Street in the Şirinler neighborhood of the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul, assailants arrived in a car and opened fire randomly with long-barreled weapons. During the attack, 18-year-old Eyüp Kara, who was sitting in front of the workplace and was hit in the head by a bullet, lost his life. It was determined that Kara had started working three days before the incident, and the assailants were caught along with the car they used in the attack.
MURDER OF YUNUS ERDEN
On August 25, in the Hasankendi neighborhood of the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş, 20-year-old Yunus Erden was shot by a person who got out of a commercial taxi and was severely injured. He later died in the hospital. The suspects, aged 17 and 18, along with the commercial taxi driver, were taken into custody. It was learned that the suspects confessed during cross-examination that they committed the murder due to a feud between two gangs in Istanbul.
