The Central Registry Agency (MKK) reported that the total value of securities, which was 18.29 trillion lira on June 30, increased to 18.40 trillion lira on September 30. MKK announced developments regarding the third quarter of 2024 in a video titled "2024 Panorama of Capital Markets as of the End of the 3rd Quarter," published on its social media accounts. NUMBER OF INVESTORS INCREASEDAccordingly, the total value of securities, which was 18.29 trillion lira on June 30, rose to 18.40 trillion lira on September 30. During the same period, the total number of investors increased from 35.3 million to 35.7 million. The number of investors with balances among the total number of investors reached 10.7 million. In the third quarter of the year, the number of new investors registered with MKK was 1 million 632 thousand 522, with the highest number of new investors being 508 thousand 84, consisting of individual men aged 21-40. The number of new female investors in the same age group was recorded as 377 thousand 239. During the same period, the total number of accounts increased from 82.6 million to 84.3 million, while the number of accounts with balances was 15.2 million. In this period, 30 companies were publicly offered, raising a total of 54.3 billion lira from the public offering. The total participation of investors in the public offering was 57 million 861 thousand.
THE PORTFOLIO VALUE OF INVESTMENT FUNDS REACHED 3.9 TRILLION LIRAAt the end of the 3rd quarter, the portfolio value of equity securities decreased to 12.98 trillion lira, while the number of investors was recorded as 7.16 million. During this period, the portfolio value of investment funds increased to 3.9 trillion lira, with the number of investors here rising to 5.34 million. The portfolio value of State Domestic Debt Instruments for a total of 17 thousand 758 individual and institutional investors was realized as 1.1 trillion lira. The number of investors in the crowdfunding system increased to 41.9 thousand, while during the same period, the nominal value of the debt instruments issued by a total of 671 companies reached 484 billion 109 million 158 thousand 493. Of these companies, 167 were from the real sector, and 504 were from other issuing companies.
