The squad of the Moroccan national team for the 2026 World Cup has been announced. Youssef En-Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Eliesse Ben Seghir, and Sofiane Boufal were not included in the squad.
Morocco national team's 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been announced. Some of the choices made by head coach Mohamed Ouahbi in the squad drew attention.
EN-NESYRI AND ZIYECH NOT IN THE SQUAD
While experienced stars such as Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bounou are included in the list determined by Mohamed Ouahbi; Youssef En-Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Eliesse Ben Seghir, and Sofiane Boufal were not called up to the squad. Alongside Ziyech and En-Nesyri, who have Süper Lig backgrounds, Ben Seghir, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, also failed to make the squad.
SOFYAN AMRABAT GOING TO THE WORLD CUP
Sofyan Amrabat, who spent the second half of the season on loan from Fenerbahçe at Real Betis, is included in the squad.
