The Ministry of National Defense announced that reconnaissance and surveillance activities against the drifting mine threat in the Black Sea continue on a 24/7 basis, and that suspicious objects detected in the Karadeniz Ereğli, Sakarya Karasu, Istanbul Karaburun, Türkeli Demir Field, and Çatalca regions, assessed to be possibly UAV/USV, were destroyed by SAS teams.

Suspicious objects detected in Karadeniz Ereğli, Sakarya Karasu, İstanbul Karaburun, Türkeli Demir Sahası, and Çatalca, which were assessed to potentially be UAVs or Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicles, were destroyed by SAS teams.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) made a statement regarding the mine threat in the Black Sea and suspicious objects detected at sea.
THE BLACK SEA IS UNDER 24/7 SURVEILLANCE
The Ministry stated that reconnaissance and surveillance activities in the Black Sea are being carried out uninterrupted on a 24/7 basis by ships and naval air assets under the command of the Naval Forces Command.
It was noted that, within the scope of the efforts, drifting mines as well as suspicious objects at sea are being closely monitored.
SUSPICIOUS OBJECTS DETECTED IN 5 DIFFERENT REGIONS
According to the MSB statement, suspicious objects were detected on the water surface in the regions of Karadeniz Ereğli, Sakarya Karasu, İstanbul Karaburun, Türkeli Demir Sahası, and Çatalca.
In the assessments conducted, it was evaluated that these objects could be UAVs or Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicles (KUSV).
SAS TEAMS DESTROYED THEM ON SITE
Underwater Defense (SAS) teams intervened in the suspicious objects. The Ministry announced that the detected objects were successfully destroyed by SAS teams at their location.
