The downpour that swept over Istanbul caused flooding across the city. In the city where underpasses and roads turned into lakes, dangerous moments were also experienced in a studio located in the Ayazağa area of Sarıyer. Murat Boz and Demet Özdemir, who were at the studio for work, could not leave the building together with the staff due to the rising water.
MURAT BOZ WENT LIVE AND ASKED FOR HELP
Murat Boz, broadcasting live from the studio where he was, explained that the water was rising rapidly and that the staff inside were trying to move to safe areas.
Boz said, "I had to go live because there is currently an emergency. Here, together with the staff and the teams, we are trapped in Ayazağa. We cannot move from where we are because the road is flooded with 2 meters of water, and the studio we are in is also being flooded."
"WE ARE NOW PRAYING THAT THE WATER DOES NOT FLOOD IN ANYMORE"
Stating that the lower sections of the studio were filled with water, Boz said that female staff were taken to an area on the upper floor so that they would be safer.
Emphasizing that the capacity of the area they were in was limited, the singer stated that the other staff were also waiting on the upper floors of the building.
Boz, noting that they were worried the water would continue to rise, used the words, "Right now, together with the teams, we are praying that water does not flood in here anymore."
"THERE ARE 200-250 PEOPLE, WE ARE REQUESTING URGENT HELP AND EVACUATION"
Describing that the vehicles around the studio were left in the water, Boz said that the number of people inside was between 200 and 250.
The famous singer, addressing AFAD, municipal and fire brigade teams, asked the authorities to reach the area, saying, "We are requesting urgent help and evacuation."
Boz, stating that the internet connection had also weakened, expressed that he did not know how long the broadcast would last and called for the footage to be shared with more people.

Actress Demet Özdemir, who was in the same studio, also posted about the flooding.
