Footage has emerged of the moment a lawyer was killed after refusing to withdraw a lawsuit filed by her sister over a 5 million Turkish lira plastic fruit crate debt in Bursa's Gürsu district. The attack footage shows two sisters walking with their father from a warehouse toward the road when gunfire erupts from a passing car, striking them and causing them to fall to the ground.
According to information obtained, the incident occurred around 17:00 yesterday in the Ağaköy neighborhood of Gürsu district. According to reports, retired electrical engineer Rahmi Kocaefe, who worked in farming, had two of his four daughters take over the fruit cultivation business he inherited and quickly expanded it. Last year, older sister Elif Ç. purchased 1 million lira worth of fruit from H.Ç. in the same village and promptly paid off the debt. In return, H.Ç. bought 5 million lira worth of fruit crates from Elif Ç. but failed to pay. Consequently, the younger sister, lawyer Hatice Kocaefe, filed a lawsuit against H.Ç. with power of attorney from her sister. Upon receiving court documents, H.Ç. contacted both Elif Ç. and lawyer Hatice Kocaefe, demanding they withdraw the case. The sisters refused. H.Ç. then threatened to shoot them in the legs.

H.Ç., who was seen driving around the warehouse area in a vehicle yesterday evening, stopped in front of the sisters as they left the warehouse and walked toward the road, opening fire. Elif Ç. was wounded in the knee, and lawyer Hatice Kocaefe was critically injured by a single bullet to the chest. The suspect fled the scene. Upon notification, medical teams arrived and transported both sisters to the hospital via ambulance. Despite all interventions, Hatice Kocaefe could not be saved, while it was reported that Elif Ç.'s kneecap was shattered.
