In the Erdemli district of Mersin, Atilla Biricik seriously injured his wife with a shotgun and then committed suicide in his vehicle. After the incident, the woman's health condition was reported to be serious, and it was learned that there was a protective order against her husband.

Atilla Biricik (44), who lives in an apartment in the Tömük neighborhood of Erdemli district in Mersin, shot his wife Fatma Biricik (40) with a shotgun for an undetermined reason. After hearing the gunshots, nearby residents reported the situation, and an ambulance and police team were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that the woman was severely injured and she was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

IT HAS EMERGED THAT THE WOMAN OBTAINED A PROTECTIVE MEASURE ORDER AGAINST HER HUSBAND

It was determined that Atilla Biricik committed suicide with the same shotgun in his car with license plate 46 AAG 096, approximately 200 meters away from the address after the incident. Police investigations at the scene are ongoing. Meanwhile, it was learned that Fatma Biricik, whose "protective measure" order expired on October 22, had a meeting with her husband on October 21 and stated that there was no request for an extension of the measure.
