Muzaffer Yıldırım, owner of Bebek Hotel, who had been detained for approximately 6 months in a drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was released with a judicial control order under 'house arrest'.

A new development occurred in the drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

MUZAFFER YILDIRIM RELEASED WITH HOUSE ARREST

Muzaffer Yıldırım, owner of Bebek Hotel, who had been detained for approximately 6 months as part of the investigation, was released under judicial control in the form of 'house arrest'.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Muzaffer Yıldırım was taken into custody on January 5. Searches were conducted at Yıldırım's residences and businesses, and some news reports claimed that poker chips, money, communication devices, and digital materials, believed to be used in gambling organizations, were seized during the searches.

After police procedures, Yıldırım was arrested by the court on January 7. Along with Yıldırım, 19 of the 26 suspects detained in the same operation wave were arrested, including Bebek Hotel General Manager Arif Altınbulak among those names.

It was alleged that in the examination of samples taken from Yıldırım at the Forensic Medicine Institute, cannabis was detected in his hair sample.

ASSETS SEIZED, TRUSTEE APPOINTED TO COMPANIES

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, citing serious indications that the assets were obtained from crime and that the income was laundered, ordered the seizure of Yıldırım's assets on February 9, 2026. The decision was approved by the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of Peace on the same day.

In the later stages of the investigation, a trustee was appointed to 6 companies owned by Yıldırım.

Meanwhile, Bebek Hotel General Manager Arif Altınbulak, after giving testimony to benefit from the provisions of effective remorse, was released on March 17 under judicial control conditions.
