Cemile Işık, a mother of three and a bipolar patient who constantly runs away from home in Adana, has not been heard from. The mother, who is in tears asking for help for her daughter, said, "My daughter fell into TikTok after switching to a touchscreen phone, and in her eagerness to become a soloist, she destroyed her home and family. She is in a vulnerable situation, open to all kinds of abuse. She is following the artist she is obsessed with."
Cemile Işık (35), who lives in Adana and has bipolar disorder, married Bektaş Işık 15 years ago. The couple, who moved to Konya, has three children from this marriage. Allegedly, after her husband bought her a smartphone about 4 years ago, Cemile Işık, who has bipolar disorder, started spending hours on social media, especially Tiktok.
FELL IN LOVE WITH AN ARTIST, RAN AWAY FROM HOME
After the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, Işık, who was already detached from her home, developed a platonic love for an artist in Hatay and went to the city. Not receiving any response from the artist, Işık then went to Kahramanmaraş and lived in container cities. Under pressure from her family, Cemile Işık later returned to her mother Hatice Çankurt's house in Adana.
RAN AWAY AGAIN AFTER A YEAR
After staying at her mother's house for a while, Işık returned to Konya to be with her children. During this process, her mother Hatice Çankurt obtained a guardianship decision from the Konya Akşehir Peace Court for her daughter, but the young woman, whose illness worsened, did not receive treatment. Since she could not obtain a disability report, the young woman, who could not be forcibly treated, ran away from home again last June and did not return.
Cemile Işık, who went to Hatay for the artist she had a platonic love for and got a job around the artist, always shares videos singing on social media. The young woman's mother is worried about her child's life as she does not communicate with her children and husband.

Hatice Çankurt, who shared her experiences, stated that her daughter went missing in the Hatay region in 2022 and that she followed her due to her obsession with the artist, saying, "Her father is taking care of the children. She stayed in a tent city for earthquake victims in Hatay and Kahramanmaraş. Later, when she called her brother and said she had no money, they immediately bought a ticket to Adana and came to Adana. She was not recognizable when I picked her up from the bus station. When she came home, she was experiencing an energy burst, saying, 'I will travel all over Turkey,' and it was hard for her; we managed with sleeping pills," she said.

Çankurt, who stated that she has not received proper news from her daughter for about a year, described the ongoing process as follows:
"About 20 days ago, they called me in the middle of the night. They said, 'Your daughter is here, all the men of Kırıkhan are after her, she is using drugs, take care of her.' She broke the windows of the car of the artist's grandmother and uncle, whom she is obsessed with. After my daughter switched to a touchscreen phone, she fell into Tiktok and destroyed her home and family with her desire to become a soloist. I do not believe my daughter is healthy and safe; she is in a situation open to all kinds of abuse."
"I COULDN'T PLACE HER IN A NURSING HOME"
After finding her daughter, the desperate mother stated that she obtained a guardianship decision but could not get her treated due to the lack of a mandatory report, saying, "I have suffered from torture and violence from their fathers for years, and my children's psychology has been shattered. Their father does not take care of them at all, does not take responsibility. I request that my daughter be placed in a nursing home with a mandatory guardianship decision so that she is not exposed to all kinds of danger, receives continuous treatment, and can think healthily. Please take care of my child," she expressed.
Bektaş Işık, Cemile Işık's husband, who was reached by phone, stated that he had not heard from his wife and that he is currently taking care of the children.
