The pharmacist Elif Nur Olgun, who was approximately 13 weeks pregnant and died after feeling ill while swimming in the indoor pool of a luxury hotel in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, has been laid to rest. The cause of Olgun's death will be revealed after a report prepared by the authorities.
In an incident that occurred on May 11 at a hotel operating on Izmit Street in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, Elif Nur Olgun, who worked as a pharmacist at Ankara Pursaklar State Hospital, suddenly fell ill while swimming in the hotel's indoor pool with her husband, Burak Olgun.
COULD NOT BE SAVED
After her husband noticed the situation, the young woman was pulled out of the pool with the help of hotel staff, and it was observed that she was unconscious. Upon notification, health teams were dispatched to the scene. Olgun, who was reported to have a heart condition and was determined to have taken water into her lungs after losing consciousness in the pool, was taken by ambulance to the district state hospital after initial intervention by health teams. Elif Nur Olgun, who was hospitalized unconscious, could not be saved despite all efforts of doctors and passed away around 8:55 PM.
HUSBAND SAW HER UNCONSCIOUS WHEN HE TURNED AROUND
After the incident, Burak Olgun, whose statement was taken by gendarmerie teams, stated that his wife had a chronic heart condition and that while they were swimming together in the pool, he turned around and suddenly saw her motionless and unconscious.

During examinations at the hospital, it was learned that the deceased unfortunate woman was approximately 13 weeks pregnant and preparing to become a mother. While a judicial investigation has been launched into the mysterious death of the pregnant woman who died in the luxury hotel pool, the exact cause of death will become clear after the preparation of the Forensic Medicine Report. Elif Nur Olgun, who was registered in Çankırı and resided in Ankara, was laid to rest in her hometown of Çankırı after the completion of autopsy procedures at the hospital.
