20-year-old İlke Naz Hoş, a player of the Paravolley National Volleyball Team, came to the forefront after asking for help on social media to escape her father's violence in the Tarsus district of Mersin. While recounting the events, Hoş stated that her father had recently attacked both her car and her workplace, and she filed a complaint.

HE BROKE THE WINDOWS OF HER CAR

According to the information received, last night around 20:30, the father O.H. (49) attacked the car where national player İlke Naz Hoş was present, causing damage. O.H. later broke the windows of his daughter's workplace as well. Those moments were captured on security and mobile phone cameras, while national athlete Hoş shared a video on social media explaining what happened and asking for help.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the teams of the Tarsus District Police Department captured the suspect father O.H. It was also reported that İlke Naz Hoş and her mother Filiz T. filed a complaint against O.H.

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE"

İlke Naz Hoş, who went to the courthouse to file a criminal complaint, stated in a statement to reporters, "I am not doing anything wrong; I am just pursuing my livelihood. I have been my father's legal guardian for 2 years. He is a person with a gambling addiction. He lost 800 thousand dollars. He is taking away my ability to work, I won a place in university but he didn't let me go. I expanded my shop, took on a partner, bought a vehicle, and went into debt. I am pursuing my livelihood. He is spreading rumors on social media that I am using drugs and laundering money. There is no such thing; I am just pursuing my livelihood. I am working in fishing. Additionally, I am actively continuing my sports career in the national team. I had a school life, and I completed my education. I have a work life, and he wants to take that away from me. I am not doing anything wrong. I want the necessary actions to be taken. I am filing my complaint with my lawyer," she said.

Hoş, who stated that she had requested a restraining order 2 years ago, said, "It resulted in a 4,000 TL fine. No other action was taken. I paid that fine as well. I am subjected to beatings, violence, threats, and insults. I don't want to die; I believe women can reach a conclusion without dying," she said.

While going home after work in the evening, Hoş mentioned that her father came and kicked her car, breaking its window while they were waiting at the traffic lights. "After that, we called the police. He couldn't take out his anger; he went to my shop. He broke the windows of my shop with stones. We already have the camera footage, and we reported it to the judicial authorities for the necessary actions. I want justice to be served in every way. This time, let's reach a conclusion before women die. I don't want to be valued only when I die; I want my worth to be recognized while I am still alive. I am just a 20-year-old young girl, I have a 10-year-old sister and a mother. I have to bring bread home," she expressed. - MERSİN
