NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said, "It is impossible to think about Europe's security without the USA, the UK, Turkey, Canada, Norway, and Iceland."
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte participated in a panel held at the Warsaw University of Economics after his meeting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Polish capital, Warsaw.
Rutte stated, "I know that things have changed very quickly in recent months. Many of us feel less secure in this rapidly changing world. Russia's war against Ukraine continues with all its violence. There are serious concerns about how it will end. However, no matter how it ends, Russia will continue to be the biggest and most direct threat to our security."
HARSH WORDS FOR PUTIN
Rutte expressed that Russia has created a system based on Chinese technology, supported by Iranian drones, and reinforced by North Korean soldiers and missiles, stating, "Putin has not given up on his desire to reshape the global security order."
"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO THINK ABOUT EUROPE'S SECURITY WITHOUT TURKEY"
Rutte said, "If you allow me to speak frankly, this is not the time for either Europe or North America to be alone. Global security threats are too great for any of us to face alone. When it comes to the security of Europe and North America, there is no alternative to NATO. It is impossible to think about Europe's security without the USA, the UK, Turkey, Canada, Norway, and Iceland. Nothing can replace the ultimate guarantee of our security, which is the US nuclear umbrella."
Rutte added, "Yes, Europe wants to know that Uncle Sam is still with us. But the USA should know that NATO allies are ready to take responsibility and contribute fully."
