A natural gas leak during the Taraweeh prayer at a mosque in the Keçiören district resulted in 16 people being hospitalized. Health and security teams were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation has been initiated.
Due to a leak from the natural gas heating system in a mosque in the Keçiören district of Ankara, 16 people affected by the leak were taken to the hospital.
TEAMS HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED TO THE AREA
According to the information obtained, while the evening prayer was being performed at Fatma Bacı Mosque located on Bağlar Street in the Karşıyaka neighborhood of Keçiören, some members of the congregation became unwell. Upon notification, health, fire, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Teams detected a carbon monoxide gas leak in the women's prayer room of the mosque. While 16 people affected by the gas were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances, an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
