New footage has emerged of an armed attack on a jewelry store in Esenyurt. The footage shows the moments after an argument broke out between 24-year-old Dilşad D., who came to the jewelry store to buy a necklace, and another customer who wanted to sell her necklace, when the suspect returned to the workplace and opened fire. In the attack, C.Ç., the owner of the neighboring pharmacy, was wounded in the leg. The suspect, who fled in a car he had hijacked, was detained in Çatalca.
In Esenyurt, an argument that started over a necklace at a jewelry store ended in an armed attack. During the attack, bullets hit the jewelry shop and the adjacent pharmacy.
AN ARGUMENT BROKE OUT OVER A NECKLACE
In the footage, Dilşad D., who enters the business, is seen saying that he wants to buy a necklace for his girlfriend. While Dilşad D., who did not like the price quoted by the jeweler, was asking for a discount, another customer who wanted to sell her necklace entered.
Dilşad D., who wanted to buy the necklace the customer had brought, was also seen not liking the price offered by the jeweler. The moments when Dilşad D. said to the customer trying to go outside, "Come here, sell me the necklace," and an argument broke out between the two were captured in the footage.
HE RETURNED TO THE BUSINESS AND OPENED FIRE
The footage showed the business owner removing the parties from the shop, and the argument continuing outside for a while. Then, the moments when Dilşad D. returned to the business alone and opened fire, and the jewelry store employee fired back at the suspect, were captured on camera.
PHARMACY OWNER WOUNDED IN THE LEG
In the attack that took place at the jewelry store in Piri Reis Neighborhood around noon on October 21, bullets hit the jewelry shop and the adjacent pharmacy. The pharmacy owner, C.Ç., was wounded in his left leg. The suspect fled the scene in a car he had carjacked.
DRONE-SUPPORTED OPERATION IN ÇATALCA
Teams from the Robbery Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate, who launched an investigation into the incident, tracked the car in which the suspect fled using security camera footage.
It was determined that the vehicle went to Çatalca, and the carjacked car was found abandoned shortly afterward. In the drone-supported operation by teams continuing the pursuit, the suspect Dilşad D. was detained. During a search of the suspect's home, 51 bullets were seized.
