NEIGHBOR'S OFFICERS START STRIKE
Customs officers in Greece initiated a strike across the country today between 07:30 and 11:30, citing workload and unpaid overtime. Due to the strike by Greek customs officers, the Ministry of Commerce warned citizens traveling to that country.
MINISTRY ANNOUNCED
In a statement from the Ministry, it was said: "Information has been received from Kipi Customs Administration officials that employees at Greece's Kipi and Kastanies Customs Gates will carry out a 4-hour work stoppage between 07:30 and 11:30 on Monday, 27.07.2026. It has been reported that during this period, only TIRs carrying sensitive products and passenger cars transporting sick and elderly passengers will be allowed to pass. It is important for drivers and passengers engaged in commercial transportation to plan accordingly."
ENTRY AND EXIT STOPPED
Entry and exit at Ipsala and Pazarkule Border Gates, which open from Edirne to Greece, have also stopped. A silence has been observed at the entrances of both border gates. Those who came to the border gates unaware of the strike by Greek customs officers are being directed to Kapıkule Border Gate, which opens from Edirne to Bulgaria.
