"SECRET ATTACK ON IRAN FROM BAHRAIN AND KUWAIT" ALLEGATION
As the intensity of the conflict increased, the US-based Wall Street Journal brought up a striking allegation. The newspaper reported that Bahrain and Kuwait conducted secret air operations on Iranian territory, bombing drone storage areas and missile facilities. This move heightened the risk of the crisis escalating into a regional war.
In the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report, based on sources familiar with the matter, it was claimed that retaliatory attacks against Iran were carried out by some Gulf countries.
"WARPLANES WERE SECRETLY DEPLOYED"
Sources alleging that Bahrain and Kuwait, which host US bases in their countries, secretly sent warplanes and conducted airstrikes against Iran in response to the Tehran administration's attacks, claimed that military facilities, as well as drone and missile depots, were targeted in the strikes.
The report stated that requests for comment from the Kuwaiti and Bahraini administrations on the matter went unanswered.
Some Arab countries in the Gulf, particularly Kuwait and Bahrain, frequently issue statements indicating that their air defense systems have intercepted Iranian-origin airstrikes.
