Former President Abdullah Gul reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the US Congress. Gul, who used the expression "We witnessed a circus of shame at the US Congress tonight" in an English post, described Netanyahu, who was applauded 60 times during his speech, as a "genocide criminal" and "child killer."
In his post on Account X, Abdullah Gul criticized Netanyahu's address to the US Congress on Wednesday with harsh words. Gul reminded that International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan had requested an arrest warrant for Netanyahu for war crimes and said that the US had "embarrassed itself once again" by hosting Netanyahu. Gul's post was as follows; "Tonight at the US Congress, we witnessed a circus of shame starring the genocide criminal that the ICC prosecutor requested an arrest warrant for. America once again embarrassed itself in front of the whole world for the sake of a child killer."
MENTIONED THE ISRAEL-US ALLIANCE WITH PRAISE
This week, Netanyahu made a speech at the US Congress as part of his contacts in the US, supporting Israel's ongoing war in Gaza and praising the Israel-US alliance. Netanyahu described the war in Gaza as a battle between "good and evil," "civilization and barbarism." The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 39,000.
