"New Era in Referee Assignments"

The MHK announced that there has been a change in the referee assignment system. The Central Referee Committee announced that the Data-Based Assignment System has been implemented for referee and assistant referee assignments in the Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League.

In a statement made by the MHK, it was stated, "The Data-Based Assignment System (VeTAS) has been activated for referee assignments."

The full statement is as follows;

"The Data-Based Assignment System (VeTAS) has been activated for Referee Assignments. The Central Referee Committee of the Turkish Football Federation has made changes to the referee assignment system. From this week onwards, referee and assistant referee assignments in the Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League will be carried out using VeTAS (Data-Based Assignment System). Starting from the 20th week, referee and assistant referee assignments in the Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League will be automatically determined by the VeTAS method.

The data-based assignment method, integrated based on clear and transparent criteria, has emerged as one of the critical structural changes towards the professionalization of the refereeing system. In line with our principle of transparency, our clubs will have the opportunity to examine the system on-site through their representatives by making official applications. Gradual implementations related to the refereeing system will continue in line with the strategic goals set for the institutional development of Turkish football and the enhancement of its brand value."
