Singer Gül Tut (52), known on stage as 'Güllü', died on September 26, 2025, after falling from the window of the 6th floor of the building where she lived on Vali Akı Street, Harmanlar Neighborhood, Çınarcık district. Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, Güllü, who underwent an autopsy, was buried in Istanbul. The artist's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter (28) and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu (25), who had aroused suspicion with different statements in their previous 3 testimonies, were taken into custody. Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested on charges of 'Intentional homicide', while house arrest was imposed on Sultan Nur Ulu.
INVESTIGATION COMPLETED AFTER 11 MONTHS The investigation conducted by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was completed after 11 months. In the prepared indictment, the singer's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, listed as the primary suspect, faced a demand for aggravated life imprisonment on the charge of 'Intentional homicide against an ascendant with premeditation'. The indictment stated that Güllü fell from the window of her daughter Tuğyan's room, hit the concrete floor from a height of 18.17 meters, and died as a result of internal bleeding due to skull and spinal fractures, as well as numerous internal organ and major vessel injuries. The toxicology report indicated that 3.53 promil of alcohol was found in Gül Tut's blood, the medications used were not at toxic levels, and there was no medical evidence that she was poisoned.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE: GÜLLÜ'S FAVORITE SONG WAS PLAYED TO BRING HER TO THE ROOM It was determined that on the night of the incident, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter asked her friend Sultan Nur Ulu to play 'Malkata', a Romani folk song her mother loved dearly, and it was started on the cell phone while Güllü was coming out of the bathroom. It was noted that upon hearing the music, Gül Tut said 'What the hell is that?' and came to her daughter's room, joined the others in singing along, and danced to the Romani folk song for a while. The prosecution stated that the song was played specifically to bring Gül Tut to the room where the incident occurred, and this was part of the premeditated act.
THREW HER MOTHER OUT THE WINDOW SAYING 'WELL, SEE YOU' The indictment stated that a detailed examination of the camera audio recordings from the moment of the incident was conducted by Istanbul Technical University. In the expert report, it was assessed that just before the fall, a young female voice said 'Well, see you' in a mocking and cheerful tone. The prosecutor's office concluded that these words were spoken by Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter. The indictment stated that immediately after these words, the suspect grabbed her mother from under her hips with both hands, lifted her feet off the ground, and threw her out the window.
It was stated that Sultan Nur Ulu, who was in the room during the incident, initially said that Gül Tut was drunk and fell from the window, but later described the event differently in her testimony. The indictment also included Sultan Nur Ulu's statement that while Gül Tut was positioned facing the window, Tuğyan grabbed her mother from under her hips with both hands, lifted her feet off the ground, and threw her down. In a recorded phone conversation with her lawyer, the witness was also found to have said she did not want to pay for what Tuğyan did and would go to the prosecutor's office to tell the truth. The prosecutor's office assessed that this audio recording supported the witness's later testimony.
CHIEF PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE: SHE PLANNED IT IN ADVANCE Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, evaluating message records, witness statements, audio transcriptions, expert reports, and post-incident behavior together, stated that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter killed her mother with premeditation. The indictment demanded that the detained suspect be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of 'Intentional homicide against an ascendant with premeditation'. For Sultan Nur Ulu, listed as the second suspect in the indictment, a prison sentence of up to 4 years was sought for the crime of 'False testimony'.
