New images of the suspects in the murder of Chinese businessman Yong Wang, who was killed in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, and buried in a field with his hands, feet, and mouth bound with packing tape, have emerged.
According to the information obtained, a missing person report was filed by the lawyer of Chinese citizen Yong Wang at the Bakırköy District Police Department in Istanbul on January 24. As a result of the investigations, the GPRS signals of the vehicle used by the Chinese businessman were examined.
FOUND BURIED IN THE FIELD
It was determined that the vehicle was last seen in a field in the Baklalı neighborhood of Arnavutköy. During the search conducted by the teams in the field, shovels and picks were found. After a detailed investigation, Yong Wang's body was found buried in the field. In the examination conducted by the Missing Persons Bureau of the Istanbul Public Security Branch, it was determined that Wang's hands, feet, and mouth were bound with packing tape and buried in the ground. The investigation revealed that the victim was a businessman and was killed with the intention of robbing him.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 10 PEOPLE
An investigation was initiated by the Gaziosmanpaşa Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident. As part of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued through Interpol for a total of 10 people, including 1 woman and 9 men, identified as suspects. It was learned that the suspects were caught in China. As part of the investigation, it was revealed that individuals claiming to have been defrauded by Wang had come to Istanbul.
It was stated that the suspects learned Wang's location from a woman who knew him, killed him by hitting him on the head with a hard object, and fled after taking his cold wallet.
Police teams examining security camera footage found that the woman accompanying Yong Wang was constantly sending messages on her phone before the kidnapping and acted as if she was unaware of the incident by crouching on the ground during the kidnapping. It was determined that one of the suspects who kidnapped the businessman dropped the woman off in Aksaray, and shortly after, she went to her hotel and then to the airport, returning to China the same day.
STRANGLED TO DEATH
After the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution, the preliminary report prepared after the initial examination stated that Yong Wang had died by strangulation. According to the report, it was indicated that after being knocked unconscious by a blow to the head, the Chinese businessman was bound at the hands and feet and buried, and the likelihood of having died by strangulation was high.
On the other hand, the murdered businessman's lawyer stated that there was a significant decrease in the amount in the businessman's crypto account, suggesting that the kidnapping and murder may have been carried out for this reason.
4 SUSPECTS BURIED THE BODY AND FLED TO BEIJING
In the investigation conducted by the Missing Persons Bureau, it was determined that the individuals identified as Choao Wen, Zhavangyuan Wang, Zhenin Qın, and Chaodong Wang boarded a flight to Beijing, China, from Istanbul Airport on January 21, 2026.
