In coordination with the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK), new professions emerging in the field of smart agriculture will be identified, and the standards and qualifications for these professions will be prepared. The National Employment Strategy, prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, covering the years 2025-2028, was shared with the public at a ceremony held on February 4, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
İŞKUR AND PUBLIC EDUCATION COURSES WILL BE ORGANIZED
The strategy document is built on four main policy areas: "Developing green and digital transformation and skill alignment in labor markets," "Enhancing inclusive employment," "Strengthening the relationship between social protection and employment," and "Developing sustainable employment in rural areas." According to information compiled by AA reporter from the strategy document, the Ministry will provide support for ensuring sustainable employment in rural areas in cooperation with various public institutions and organizations. In this context, new professions emerging in the field of smart agriculture will be identified under the coordination of MYK. The standards and qualifications for these professions will be prepared. Additionally, vocational courses will be organized by İŞKUR and public education centers to meet the need for qualified labor in this field.
WORK WILL BE DONE TO USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ROBOT TECHNOLOGIES
According to the strategy document, efforts will be made to use artificial intelligence and robot technologies in small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the work of public and private R&D centers will be intensified. The use of new technologies in these centers will increase the employment of young and educated individuals. In addition to efforts to increase the qualified labor force in agriculture, issues and needs related to the working conditions of those currently employed in the agricultural sector will be identified. Guidance and consultancy services will be provided to private employment agencies through İŞKUR.
SMART AGRICULTURE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUPPORTED
In addition to traditional production in agriculture, support will be provided for the dissemination of smart agriculture, soilless agriculture, and irrigation practices to support alternative production methods. Furthermore, training will be organized to enhance the professional skills of workers. Job coaching, which provides support to the unemployed in job search skills and vocational guidance, will also be implemented in rural areas by İŞKUR. In this context, consultancy, job coaching, and financial resources will be offered to entrepreneurs who wish to establish their own businesses in certain sectors in rural areas.
