In an incident that took place in Fatih, Istanbul, a woman named Emine U. called her ex-boyfriend Seyhan K. to an apartment. After he arrived, Seyhan K. entered the shower and found two men waiting for him. One of the men assaulted him while the other recorded the moments on video. The attackers threatened him and demanded 400,000 TL.
Emine U. (33) met with her former partner Seyhan K. (37) in an apartment last November. Seyhan K., who arrived at the apartment located in Fatih Molla Gürani Neighborhood, was greeted by the suspect Emine U. and her friend Hatice Y. (23).
WHEN SHE CAME OUT OF THE BATHROOM...
After a while, Seyhan K. took a shower, and when she came out of the bathroom, she was shocked to see Bünyamin Y. (21) and Yusuf Ö. (25) in front of her. While Yusuf Ö. recorded Seyhan K. with his phone, the other suspect, Bünyamin Y., started to assault the victim. As the suspect women were leaving the house, the individuals demanded 400,000 TL from Seyhan K. and when they received a negative response, they threatened to kill her with the knife they had by telling her to explain the situation to her family.
SENT 150 THOUSAND LIRA BUT THEY DIDN'T STOP
According to a report by Sabah; Seyhan K., who was filled with fear, sent 150,000 TL, which she received from her friends, to the account of the suspect Yusuf Ö. Bünyamin Y. and Yusuf Ö. threatened to send the video to Seyhan K.'s family if she did not send the remaining 250,000 TL to the account and then fled. Seyhan K. filed a complaint against the individuals. The four suspects, who were quickly caught and detained by the police teams, were arrested by the court they were brought to and sent to prison.
23 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT REQUESTED
After the completion of the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a case was filed at the Istanbul Heavy Penal Court. In the prepared indictment, suspects Emine U., Hatice Y., Yusuf Ö., and Bünyamin Y. were charged with 'Deprivation of Liberty', 'Robbery at Night with Multiple Persons Using a Weapon', and 'Violation of Privacy' with a request for 23 years of imprisonment. The indictment stated that the money traffic and the recorded video were verified, and that the suspects acted in unity, with each being a perpetrator of the incident. It was reported that sufficient evidence had been gathered to file a case against the suspects. The trial will be held in the coming days at the Istanbul Heavy Penal Court.
