"Not even a mother can be called, the experiences of Sıla baby have come to light."

A 2-year-old baby named Sıla, living in Tekirdağ, lost her battle for life as a result of sexual abuse and violence she suffered. Following Sıla's death, the truths began to emerge one by one. It was revealed that the mother, Bakiye Y., who was aware of the abuse, continued to leave her baby in the house of horrors, while the violence inflicted on Sıla by the detained children came to light.

In the investigation regarding the horrifying incident, it was found that 25-year-old Bakiye Yeniçeri, living in Kayseri, had two daughters aged 5 and 2. Yeniçeri had left her husband about two weeks before the horrific event and moved in with her former friend, 57-year-old Sanlı Ö., in Tekirdağ, taking her children with her. It was also learned that after realizing the abuse, the mother continued to leave Sıla at that house.

THREW THE DIAPER IN ANOTHER NEIGHBORHOOD

According to a report by Habertürk, Bakiye Yeniçeri, who went out during the day, was leaving her two daughters at the house of her neighbor. In that house, an elderly woman with health issues lived with her 32-year-old son, Kani A. Kani, who had left his wife, had three children aged 13, 9, and 8, who were taking care of themselves as their mother was not present. In other words, Bakiye Yeniçeri was entrusting her two small children to other children. There was no adult in that house who could take care of little Sıla. According to Bakiye Yeniçeri's statement, on September 5, she had again entrusted her children to the neighbor's children. After bringing her two daughters home, she took little Sıla to the bathroom to wash her. She saw blood in the diaper. Yeniçeri said, "At that moment, I realized my baby was being abused, but I was scared. To cover up the incident, I threw the diaper in a container in another neighborhood." She also told Sanlı Ö., with whom she lived, about the horrific incident that happened to her baby. However, neither of them said anything to anyone. Even so, the mother continued to leave her baby in that house of horrors.

13-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN CONFESSED TO THE ABUSE

Among the children involved in the crime, G.A. frequently visited the house where the incident occurred. In the statements taken during the investigation, 13-year-old K.A. and G.A. confessed to the crime of abuse. According to the children's statements, Sıla and her sister were entrusted to them by their mother, Bakiye. The children were feeding the babies and changing their diapers. Whatever happened, happened at that moment; after changing little Sıla's diaper, the two children committed the horrific act. However, the violent incident that caused little Sıla to suffer a brain hemorrhage occurred three days later.

This time, K.A. was alone, with no accomplice. In his first statement, K.A. said that Sıla had fallen. However, this was not credible because Sıla's body was covered in bruises. The chief prosecutor ordered an inspection of the crime scene. 13-year-old K.A. was taken to his home by the authorities, where he was asked to reenact how he fell. Unable to describe the scenario in his head, K.A. confessed that he had also committed the violent act. He explained that he first beat Sıla with a stick and then hit her head against the refrigerator.

K.A.'s father, Kani A., and Sanlı Ö. stated in their testimonies that they were unaware of the incident. The children and the mother also confessed to their crimes. However, it was unknown to whom the bite marks found on baby Sıla, who had been subjected to torture for days, belonged. For this reason, the prosecutor requested a report from the Forensic Medicine Institution. The jaw structures of all five suspects, two of whom were children, were examined and compared with the bite marks on Sıla's body.

A horrifying truth emerged from the examination of Sanlı Ö.'s mobile phone. There were obscene images of other children on the phone of 57-year-old Sanlı Ö., with whom Bakiye Yeniçeri stayed with her two children. For this reason, an investigation was opened against Sanlı Ö. in addition to the investigation regarding baby Sıla.
