Changes of duty at the Presidency of Religious Affairs were announced with the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette. According to the decisions signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, 6 provincial muftis were dismissed, while the posts of muftis in many provinces were changed. A change was also made at the Presidency of the Diyanet Academy, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bostanci was appointed in place of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enver Osman Kaan, who was dismissed.
With the appointment decisions signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, a comprehensive change was made in the Presidency of Religious Affairs. While 6 provincial muftis were dismissed, new muftis were appointed to many provinces. A change was also made in the position of the President of the Diyanet Academy.
6 PROVINCIAL MUFTIS DISMISSED
The provincial muftis dismissed with the decision taken in accordance with Article 2 of Presidential Decree No. 3 are as follows:
Bilecik: Ahmet Dilek
Karabük: Ali Erhun
Kocaeli: Mehmet Sönmezoğlu
Nevşehir: Kazım Güzel
Zonguldak: İbrahim Halil Demir
Konya: Ali Öge
NEW MUFTIS APPOINTED TO BILECIK AND TUNCELI
Within the scope of the appointment decisions, Yusuf Dikmen was appointed to the Bilecik Provincial Muftiate and Fethullah Yavuz to the Tunceli Provincial Muftiate.
A mutual duty exchange was also made in Iğdır and Kilis. Kilis Provincial Mufti Alettin Bozkurt was appointed to Iğdır, and Iğdır Provincial Mufti Zahit Demirel was appointed to Kilis.
Mustafa Yavuz was appointed to the Karabük Provincial Muftiate, Bolu Provincial Mufti Hüseyin Demirtaş to the Kocaeli Provincial Muftiate, and Giresun Provincial Mufti Selçuk Kılıçbay to the Bolu Provincial Muftiate.
MUFTIS' POSTS CHANGED
With the appointment decisions, Hakkari Provincial Mufti Hüseyin Okuş was appointed to the Giresun Provincial Muftiate, and Recep Eren to the Hakkari Provincial Muftiate.
Kars Provincial Mufti Yavuz Yıldız was appointed to the Niğde Provincial Muftiate, and Selami Aykul was appointed to the Kars Provincial Muftiate.
Gümüşhane Provincial Mufti Hayri Erenay was appointed to the Nevşehir Provincial Muftiate, Karaman Provincial Mufti Faruk Gürbüz to the Gümüşhane Provincial Muftiate, and Isparta Provincial Mufti Muharrem Biçer to the Karaman Provincial Muftiate.
Kırklareli Provincial Mufti Yusuf Eviş was appointed to the Isparta Provincial Muftiate, Aksaray Provincial Mufti Veysel Işıldar to the Kırklareli Provincial Muftiate, and Ali Efe was appointed to the Aksaray Provincial Muftiate.
CHANGES ALSO IN ZONGULDAK, BAYBURT AND KONYA
Bayburt Provincial Mufti Bayram Danacı was appointed to the Zonguldak Provincial Muftiate, and Basri Bektaş was appointed to the Bayburt Provincial Muftiate.
Diyarbakır Provincial Mufti Celal Büyük was appointed to the Konya Provincial Muftiate, Erzincan Provincial Mufti İsmail Fakirullahoğlu to the Diyarbakır Provincial Muftiate, and Selim Yazıcı was appointed to the Erzincan Provincial Muftiate.
HEAD OF DIYANET ACADEMY ALSO CHANGED
Another notable change in the appointment decision occurred in the Presidency of the Diyanet Academy.
According to the decision, the Head of the Diyanet Academy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enver Osman Kaan, was dismissed. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bostancı was appointed to the position of Head of the Diyanet Academy, which was vacated by Kaan.
Thus, with the decisions published with the signature of President Erdoğan, duty changes were made in many provincial muftiates within the body of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
