The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, held a joint press conference after his meeting with the President of the North Macedonia Assembly, Afrim Gaşi, during his official visit to Skopje.

"A REGIME THAT LOOKS DOWN ON ITS PEOPLE HAS COME TO AN END THROUGH THE STRUGGLE OF THE PEOPLE"

Emphasizing Turkey's important role in ending the conflicts and internal turbulence in the region, Kurtulmuş stated, "A regime that has been in power in Syria for 61 years, looking down on its people and oppressing them, has come to an end through the struggle of the people. From now on, Turkey will fulfill all its responsibilities to ensure that a democratic process is established in Syria, representing all ethnic, political, religious, and sectarian differences, and thus to establish peace."

"I HOPE ISRAEL'S AGGRESSION COMES TO AN END"

Pointing out that more than 50,000 people, over 70% of whom are women and children, have died due to the genocide that has been ongoing in Gaza for 1.5 years, Kurtulmuş stated that people are being torn from life, cities are being destroyed, and everything alive is being wiped out before the eyes of the world.

Kurtulmuş said: "Despite the fact that such a heavy atrocity is being committed before the eyes of the world, the world has still not been able to stop this aggression. We hope that as soon as possible, Israel will be restrained, this aggression will be prevented, and we are trying to make every effort as Turkey for peace and well-being to come to the Gazans, who are almost praying to leave life as soon as possible. I hope that Israel's aggression will come to an end there as well, and it will be possible to ensure a just and lasting peace with the pressure of world public opinion and the international community."

At the end of his remarks, Kurtulmuş provided information about his busy schedule in the country and concluded his speech by wishing that his visit would leave lasting effects on the friendship between the two countries and that the friendship between the two countries would last until the end of time.
