"The shock came on the first day for Özgür Özel, who chaired the latest group meeting of the CHP in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and announced that a new party would be established. In a statement, the New Party Formation Working Group said, 'We inform the public that the unlawful use of the name "New Party" or any possible attempts under the same name will be meticulously followed by us from a legal perspective.' It has become a matter of curiosity what kind of roadmap Özgür Özel will follow regarding the party name."

Following Özgür Özel's announcement in his group meeting at the Turkish Grand National Assembly that a new party would be established by splitting from the CHP, the political agenda has been stirred. Immediately after Özel's announcement, the New Party Formation Working Group issued a written statement, declaring that they would initiate legal proceedings against the unauthorized and unlawful use of the name "New Party."

"TRADEMARK REGISTRATION OF 'NEW PARTY' WAS PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED"

The statement included the following expressions: "In some media outlets and social media platforms, there have been reports claiming that the name of the political party to be founded under the leadership of Mr. Özgür Özel will be 'New Party.'

To ensure the public is accurately informed, we would like to emphasize that trademark registration applications, domain name applications, and related legal procedures for the protection of the name 'New Party' have been duly carried out by us previously. Our establishment process continues resolutely in line with its own timeline.

"WE WILL MAKE THE NECESSARY LEGAL APPLICATIONS"

Therefore, we hereby inform the public that any unlawful use of the name 'New Party' or possible initiatives under the same name will be meticulously followed up from a legal perspective by us.

In the event that our rights are deemed to have been infringed, all necessary legal applications will be made in full before all relevant administrative and judicial authorities; if necessary, the matter will be escalated to the highest judicial bodies.

Our aim in this process is not to become a party to any political debate, but to ensure the preservation of our establishment efforts carried out with dedication and our legally protected rights. Respectfully announced to the public."
