In Istanbul's Buyukcekmece district, teacher H.I.K., who was detained on allegations of subjecting a 10-year-old child to violence at a special education center, was arrested by the court on charges of 'injuring a defenseless person' after police procedures and sent to prison.
In the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul, a family had sent 10-year-old B.B.T. to a special education center due to her difficulty in learning letters.
FATHER RECORDED THE SCANDAL MOMENT BY MOMENT
After the child's behavior changed following her school attendance, the father recorded the child being subjected to violence with a mobile phone camera.
SENT TO PRISON
Following the incident, the family filed a complaint, and H.İ.K. was taken into custody. After police procedures, the teacher was referred to the courthouse. The suspect H.İ.K., referred to the duty judge, was arrested and sent to prison for the crime of 'injuring a person unable to defend themselves.'
