Turkey painted in yellow and red: 26th championship celebrated in 81 provinces and beyond the border

Galatasaray, who defeated Antalyaspor 4-2 in the 33rd week of the Trendyol Super League, declared their 4th consecutive championship and 26th overall with one week remaining. With the championship news, squares in all cities, starting from Istanbul, turned yellow and red. From Ankara to Izmir, from Hatay to Ardahan, millions of fans poured into the streets with torches, chants, and huge convoys to celebrate the historic victory. The enthusiastic celebrations spread beyond Turkey's borders to the world.

The 26th championship coming one week before the end of the Trendyol Super League turned all of Turkey and beyond into a festival area. Galatasaray's victory, completing the 2025-2026 season at the top, was crowned with simultaneous celebrations in 81 provinces.

KIZILAY IS THE ADDRESS OF CELEBRATIONS IN ANKARA

The heart of celebrations in the capital was July 15 Kızılay National Will Square. Thousands of fans filling points like Bahçelievler and Tunalı Hilmi Avenue illuminated the night with flares and chants. Championship convoys stretching for kilometers formed on the streets of Ankara.

GÜNDOĞDU SQUARE IN IZMIR TURNED YELLOW AND RED

Fans flocking to Gündoğdu Square in Izmir celebrated by waving giant flags and singing anthems. The excitement was not limited to Izmir; squares in Aydın, Denizli, Manisa, and Uşak resonated with championship songs. Vehicle convoys closed the boulevards of the Aegean region to traffic.

MANISA

In Manisa, Galatasaray fans gathered at July 15 Democracy Square.

With the end of the match, fans celebrated their team's 26th championship to their heart's content. Some fans in their vehicles experienced the championship joy with flags and horns.

AYDIN

In Aydın's Efeler district, fans gathered at Atatürk City Square after the final whistle celebrated the championship and toured the city with their vehicles on Adnan Menderes Boulevard.

In Denizli's Pamukkale district, fans came together at the amphitheater in Kınıklı neighborhood and chanted with Galatasaray flags in hand.

USAK

In Uşak, yellow-red fans celebrated at July 15 Martyrs Square. Fans celebrating here with Galatasaray flags then marched on İsmet Paşa Avenue.

ELAZIG

The championship joy of the yellow-reds was celebrated with enthusiasm in Elazığ as in all corners of Turkey. With the final whistle, thousands of Galatasaray fans gathered at Republic Square experienced championship joy with flares, anthems, convoys, horns, and chants.

SAMSUN AND SURROUNDING PROVINCES

In Samsun, Amasya, Kastamonu, and Çankırı, Galatasaray fans celebrated their team's 26th championship.

In Samsun's Atakum district, citizens gathered around Kurupelit Marina.

Yellow-red fans lighting flares and chanting with flags experienced great joy. Fans formed a convoy with flags.

Meanwhile, police teams took security measures.

AMASYA

In Amasya, after the yellow-red team declared its championship, many fans formed a convoy with their vehicles in the city center. Fans touring with flares and anthems then gathered at Yavuz Selim Square.

Later, yellow-red fans gathered at Republic Square and Kuzeykent neighborhood lit flares and chanted, experiencing championship joy.

CANKIRI

Galatasaray fans celebrated their team's 26th championship with enthusiasm in Çankırı.

With the final whistle of the Galatasaray-Hesap.com Antalyaspor match, citizens gathered at City Square.

CORUM

In Çorum, fans gathered at Kadeş Peace Square celebrated their team's championship with slogans.

A convoy was formed on Gazi Avenue.

In the Sungurlu district, fans also gathered at Atatürk Square and celebrated their team's 26th championship.

KOCAELI

With Galatasaray declaring its championship in the Trendyol Super League, fans poured into the streets in Kocaeli. The streets were virtually draped in red and yellow. Streets were painted red and yellow with flares. Fans sang anthems, making the street resonate.

KAYSERI

Galatasaray's declaration of championship caused joy in Kayseri as in many other cities. With the end of the match, fans flocking to Republic Square celebrated the championship with flags and flares. Fans enjoying themselves to the fullest with drums and zurna savored the championship.

HATAY

Galatasaray fans in Hatay flocked to the city center of Antakya district. Gathered fans lit flares and sang championship anthems, celebrating the championship to their heart's content. Some Galatasaray fans in Hatay formed a vehicle convoy and celebrated the championship by taking a city tour.

BURDUR

Galatasaray becoming champion for the 4th consecutive time was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Burdur as in the whole country. After the match, Galatasaray fans flocked to Republic Square. Lighting flares, singing championship anthems and joining songs, fans experienced great joy. Some Galatasaray fans in Burdur formed a vehicle convoy and celebrated the championship by taking a city tour.

KONYA

With the end of the match, yellow-red fans poured into the streets in Konya and celebrated the championship. Fans, especially pouring into the streets in Bosnia and Herzegovina neighborhood, celebrated the championship by opening yellow-red flags and lighting flares.

ARDAHAN

As in all corners of Turkey, yellow-red fans poured into the streets in Ardahan as well. After the championship coming one week before the end, squares and avenues in the city witnessed great excitement.

After the match played at RAMS Park, thousands of fans began celebrations with flags and flares. In Ardahan, vehicle convoys were formed, and fans celebrated the championship with anthems and chants.  

SAKARYA 

Galatasaray fans, who declared their championship in the Trendyol Süper Lig, experienced great excitement in Sakarya. Hundreds of fans gathered and celebrated with vehicle convoys and flares.

After the match ended, fans gathered in the Serdivan district, singing anthems with flags in hand and thoroughly enjoying the championship joy. Especially on 2nd Street, fans created a crowd and took a city tour with long vehicle convoys. The chants rising from the vehicles added color to the Sakarya night. During the celebrations where flares were lit, fans entertained themselves with music. The celebrations featured colorful scenes, while police took extensive security measures in the area where the density occurred.  

CROSS-BORDER CELEBRATION IN GEORGIA 

The joy of victory crossed the borders of Turkey. Borchali Turks living in Marneuli, Georgia, gathered in front of the municipal building and put on fireworks displays. The Marneuli lions gave the message, "We are proud to be part of this great family with hundreds of people here."

First, fans took a city tour with their vehicles, honking their horns and shouting "Champion Galatasaray" slogans. Then, fans gathered in front of the Marneuli Municipality building and continued their celebrations by having fun with anthems. Fans lit yellow-red flares and chanted "Long live Galatasaray," "Cimbombom" slogans while forming triple cheers. Fans gathered in front of the municipal building brightened the night and illuminated the sky with fireworks displays.
