AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik strongly reacted to the statements made by CHP leader Özgür Özel regarding President Erdoğan's silence on the U.S. plan to exile Gazans. Çelik stated, "Özgür Özel has signed one of the most unconscious acts in political history by attempting to question our President's sensitivity regarding the Palestinian issue. Özgür Özel's attitude is a complete political negligence."
AK Party Deputy Chairman and AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik responded sharply to the statements made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who said that President Erdoğan remained silent about the U.S. administration's plan to exile Gazans, through a statement on his official social media account.
"ÖZEL'S ATTITUDE IS A COMPLETE POLITICAL BLUNDER"
In his post, Ömer Çelik used the following expressions: "CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has signed one of the most unconscious acts in political history by questioning our President's sensitivity regarding the Palestinian issue. Özgür Özel claimed that our President remained silent about the U.S. administration's plan to exile Gazans. Özgür Özel's attitude is a complete political blunder."
"ERDOĞAN IS THE LEADER WHO EXPRESSES THE TRUTHS ABOUT THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE MOST CLEARLY"
Throughout his political life, our President has been the only political leader who has expressed the truths about the Palestinian cause in the clearest way, truths that no one else has dared to say in every national and international arena he has been in.
The clear stance of our President regarding the U.S. administration's approach has been expressed in the most explicit manner in the statements made on behalf of both our party and our government. Our President states that the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian State with its capital in East Jerusalem, which has geographical integrity, is one of the fundamental principles of his political life.
"IT IS NOTHING BUT POLITICAL DELUSION"
In his evaluations about Hamas, our President has opposed those who label Hamas as terrorists and has referred to Hamas members as 'people defending their homeland.' Our President has been saying this since the day he answered a journalist's question during his visit to the U.S. when he was politically banned. Özgür Özel, on the other hand, initially called Hamas a terrorist during the most painful days of Israel's genocide and murder actions, and then, in response to the ensuing reactions, stated that 'Hamas is carrying out terrorist actions.'
Our esteemed President has provided support to our Palestinian brothers in every field throughout his life and has, in this sense, always been the spokesperson not only for Turkey but also for the conscience of humanity. The sensitivity of our esteemed President regarding the Palestinian cause and his resolute stance on this issue are witnessed by the entire world, both friends and foes.
Özgür Özel, who has had no other evaluation than questioning the legitimacy of the resistance in Palestine until today, attempting to question our President's sincerity is nothing but political delusion."
WHAT DID ÖZGÜR ÖZEL SAY?
Özgür Özel said, "Trump praised Erdoğan, praised him, praised him, and Erdoğan was quite happy about it. Now this Trump says that Palestinians will not live in Gaza, I will distribute them to the surrounding countries. This is exile, this is forced relocation, this is a crime against humanity. How can Erdoğan remain silent about this? Did those who voted for him vote for him to leave Palestine so alone? Every day he remains silent on this issue is illegitimate. If you turn your face to Israel and your back to Palestine, you lose your legitimacy. Here is another reason to put the ballot box as soon as possible and ask the nation, 'What do you say now?'. When the time comes to fight with Israel, when it becomes profitable, Erdoğan, who has been profiting from this, now has an agreement with Israel and America, they will arrange something for Syria. There, the co-chairman of the Greater Middle East Project, the former co-chairman, but apparently, it hasn't been left in the past, they have also given a role to the co-chairman there," he said.
