Birsen Filiz, 27, who was seriously injured after being trapped under a vehicle in an accident at the Balıkesir Paşa Mosque underground parking lot on August 19 in Balıkesir, lost her 3-day fight for life at the hospital where she was being treated. The news of her death, which plunged the Filiz family and their loved ones, who live in the Çamcı neighborhood of Edremit, into mourning, turned into even greater sorrow today. It was learned that Birsen's wedding was today.

The young woman, who had come to Balıkesir for a wedding dress fitting as part of her wedding preparations, had been taken to the hospital after the accident. While her family and relatives had been waiting for good news for days, today the news of death came to Birsen's family. Birsen Filiz, instead of the white wedding dress she had prepared to wear today, was brought to the family home wrapped in a shroud. Birsen, who was sent off on her final journey from her father's house in Edremit Çamcı, was laid to rest with prayers amid the tears of her family and loved ones.
