As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, one of the four suspects detained was arrested, while judicial control measures were applied to the other three.
In the investigation carried out by the Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, magazine writer Mehmet Üstündağ, YouTuber Bilal Hancı, Abdullah Gençal, and İbrahim Barut were brought to the Istanbul Courthouse after their procedures at the police station.
Bilal Hancı BILAL HANCI AND MEHMET ÜSTÜNDAĞ RELEASED Among the suspects who gave statements at the prosecutor's office, Gençal was arrested, while Hancı was placed under "house arrest," and Barut and Üstündağ were referred to the peace criminal court with requests for "prohibition of leaving the country." The court decided to arrest Abdullah Gençal, while it ruled for "house arrest" and "prohibition of leaving the country" for Bilal Hancı, and "prohibition of leaving the country" and "signature requirement" for İbrahim Barut and Mehmet Üstündağ.
As part of the investigation, four people were detained yesterday, while it was determined that three suspects were abroad.
