Mesaspor, competing in the 1st Amateur League in Hatay, experienced an unfortunate event just one day before their first match in the league, as the licenses of 20 players from the A team were stolen from the club building. THEY LOST THE MATCHAfter the shocking incident, Mesaspor officials applied to the TFF and managed to reissue the players' licenses, allowing them to take the field. The match between Mesaspor and Azganlıkspor, which was filled with tense moments, ended with a 1-0 victory for Azganlıkspor. Despite the theft of their licenses, the players who took the field for victory started the league with a defeat after the unfortunate event they experienced. "WE WERE DEFEATED"Hakan Aydın, an official of Mesaspor Club, stated that they fought to take the field, saying, "In a short period, thanks to our coach's long efforts, all the players' licenses were prepared in one day. Our coach went to Antakya to the TFF early in the morning, and as a result of his long efforts until the match time, we were able to take the field. We could have made excuses and not played, but we wanted to play and we did. We never wanted the match to be postponed. We wanted to increase our motivation by winning, but we were defeated. Without hiding behind any excuses, we are proud of our eleven players who fought on the field today and our teammates on the bench. They went out like lions and fought today. The league is not just one match; it is a long marathon. Hopefully, we will reach our goal at the end of the season," he said. Aydın stated that the security forces are continuing their efforts to identify the individuals who stole the licenses, saying, "We do not want to hide behind excuses; all the spectators who watched the match witnessed the incident we experienced before the match. I just want to emphasize that I am proud of the team. As Mesaspor Club, we are a big family, and no power can break us. We have a family atmosphere, and we are proud of all our players. Our athletes have come together even more for the match; I commend them. No one can break us. Our security forces are still investigating the incident. Hopefully, we are expecting good news from our security. We trust our security forces. We are sure they will do what is necessary as soon as possible," he expressed.
