In Iran's Sistan-Balochistan province, the execution of Abduljalil Shahbakhsh, sentenced to death on charges of "attempting to incite rebellion by carrying out armed attacks," has been carried out. Shahbakhsh is reported to have played an active role in the 2022 protests.

A person sentenced to death on charges of "organizing armed attacks to incite rebellion" in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan province has been executed.

According to a report by Mizan News Agency, affiliated with Iran's Judiciary, Abdul Jalil Shahbakhsh, allegedly a member of the "Ansar al-Furqan" group, was sentenced to death on charges of "armed attacks and inciting rebellion." It was stated that Shahbakhsh's death sentence was carried out this morning.

ATTACKED SECURITY CHECKPOINTS

The report included allegations that Shahbakhsh played an active role in the protests following Mahsa Amini's death in 2022 and participated in attacks on some security checkpoints.

Clashes occasionally occur between the group known as "Ansar al-Furqan" and security forces in Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan.
