Sad news came from two different hotel pools on the same night in Sakarya. While 35-year-old Elif Nur Olgun, who fell ill in a pool in Sapanca, died at the hospital she was taken to, TÜRASAŞ Chief Inspector Abdulhay Tolkun, who suffered a heart attack in the pool area of a hotel in Adapazarı, could not be saved despite all interventions.
In the Sapanca district of Sakarya, Elif Nur Olgun (35), who experienced a drowning danger after falling ill in the pool of the hotel where she was staying, died at the hospital where she was taken. An investigation has been launched into the death of the woman, who was found to have a heart condition. It was also learned that TÜRASAŞ Chief Inspector Abdulhay Tolkun died the same night after suffering a heart attack in the pool area of the hotel where he was staying in Adapazarı.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS AT THE HOSPITAL
The incident occurred in the evening hours at a hotel located in the Kırkpınar Tepebaşı neighborhood of the district. Elif Nur Olgun, who was swimming in the hotel's indoor pool with her husband, fell ill and experienced a drowning danger. The woman was pulled out of the pool by her husband and staff, and after initial intervention by health teams who arrived at the scene upon notification, she was taken to the hospital. Olgun, who was referred to the hospital unconscious, could not be saved.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Elif Nur Olgun's body, who was found to have a heart condition, was sent to the Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Korucuk Preliminary Autopsy Center to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation into the incident continues.

Meanwhile, the same night, more bad news came from another pool in Sakarya. Abdulhay Tolkun, 50, who was learned to be the TÜRASAŞ Chief Inspector, suffered a heart attack in the pool area of the hotel where he was staying in the Adapazarı district of Sakarya. After falling ill, Tolkun was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions.
