The famous coffee chain Espressolab, which is among the companies that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has called for a boycott, made a statement. In the statement, it was said, "We do not understand why we are being boycotted! There are no hidden partners or secret supporters behind our brand. Espressolab is a company of the Kocadağ family and has no other partners. We are not involved in politics; we are making coffee."
After the detention and arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made a striking statement. Özel called for a boycott of many companies, especially some television channels that did not see Saraçhane.

ÖZEL: WE WILL NOT DRINK THEIR COFFEES FROM NOW ON
Özel stated: "I love all kinds of coffee. I love Turkish coffee, filter coffee, all of them. Whatever you drink, just make sure you don't drink it from Espressolab! We will not visit Espressolab on campus, we will not drink their coffee. The executives of the mainstream media should get a coffee and think it over until the end of the conversation. I love Turkish coffee, filter coffee, I love all kinds of it, I recommend you drink whichever you like, but just make sure you don't drink it from Espressolab.
