CHP Chairman Özgür Özel visited the SAHA 2026 Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair. Receiving information from officials, Özel said, 'We are generally satisfied. There is nothing that hasn't impressed me; everything here is wonderful.' Showing special interest in the indigenous combat aircraft KAAN, Özel stated, 'No one should underestimate KAAN's success. This is the goal set by Ghazi Mustafa Kemal. May God be pleased with everyone who has contributed a brick.'
The SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair is being held at the Istanbul Fair Center, organized by SAHA Istanbul, the largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster in Turkey and Europe.
VISITED SAHA 2026
The event, which will end on May 9, continues to host visitors today. In this context, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also visited the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair this morning. Özel was accompanied by CHP member Özgür Çelik.

Özel visited the TUSAŞ stand, examined the cockpit of the GÖKBEY helicopter, and received information.
POSED WITH YILDIRIMHAN
At SAHA EXPO 2026, the domestically produced "Yıldırımhan", representing Turkey's technological level, was introduced to the public for the first time. The 6,000-kilometer range intercontinental ballistic missile "Yıldırımhan", showcased at SAHA Expo, also caught Özgür Özel's attention. Özel posed for journalists in front of Yıldırımhan.

Answering questions from journalist Taha Hüseyin Karagöz, Özel said, "We are generally pleased. There is nothing I am not impressed by; all are amazing."
"WE WANT TO SEE KAAN IN THE AIR"
Speaking later at the exit, Özel said, "Wars have shown the importance of defense. We are pleased with what we saw at the defense industry fair. We want to see KAAN in the air as soon as possible. No one should underestimate KAAN's success. This is the goal set by Gazi Mustafa Kemal. May God be pleased with everyone who contributed."
