Özgür Özel: We see the declaration of war and we accept it.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AK Party in Konya.

In his speech here, Erdoğan targeted the main opposition party CHP through the investigation regarding Beşiktaş Municipality, stating, "They know very well that the bigger turnips are in the sack. One reason for their panic is this truth."

A RESPONSE FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL: WE ACCEPT THIS DECLARATION OF WAR

After a 3-hour meeting of his party's Central Executive Board (MYK), CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made statements, saying he would visit the arrested Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat. Addressing President Erdoğan, Özel said, "We see and accept this declaration of war."

Özel's statement regarding the issue is as follows: "This is a blatant declaration of war. Out of respect for the voters who supported them, we are not sure how much we can respond in a respectful manner within the framework of politics. We see and accept this declaration of war. The People's Alliance will not be pleased with the response they will receive from us. That ballot box will come before the nation in 2025. Those who obey their unlawful orders will also be held accountable before the judiciary. I am not talking about a protest, I am talking about the process of coming to power.
