COURT RULES ÖZGÜR ÖZEL TO PAY COMPENSATION TO ERDOĞAN
Hüseyin Aydın, the lawyer for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, announced that in the moral damages lawsuit filed against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel for his statements targeting President Erdoğan, the court ruled that Özel must pay 300,000 lira in damages.
In a statement on his social media account, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın said, "In the lawsuit we filed against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the Ankara 32nd Civil Court of First Instance, due to the inappropriate expressions and unjust accusations targeting our President during his speech at the CHP Headquarters on July 5, 2025, the court ordered 300,000 TL in moral damages."
